Oakland Raiders wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey was charged Thursday with drunken driving, the California Highway Patrol told the San Francisco Chronicle.

Heyward-Bey, 25, was cited for alleged drunken driving April 7 after he failed a field sobriety test. A CHP officer pulled over Heyward-Bey after witnessing him speeding and weaving in his lane on the Bay Bridge around 2 a.m. Police described Heyward-Bey as "very cooperative."

Heyward-Bey,  is scheduled to appear in court May 31.

Now after the news of Heyward-Bey being arrested, lets talk about his career and let me tell you is not the best. Last year was his best year so far with 64 catches for 975 yards and 4 touchdowns. Now after showing glimpses of being a descent receiver he goes out and does this mistake. He better get over this and focus on mini-camp work outs because Louis Murphy, Jacoby Ford and Denarius Moore all want starting positions. With all this drama and the fact that Ford and Moore have proven to be very good receivers, to me Heyward-Bey should be a third string receiver behind Moore and Ford. The good things about Heyward-Bey is his healthy most of the time,is not suffering from any injuries, and has improved his performance from year to year. This years he better not slack off and keep improving because am a true Raider fan and I am cheering for him and the whole team. Go Raider Nation!!!!!
